Ferrari GTO 250

The Crown of HAOG’s Collection

The Ferrari GTO is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating and valuable automobiles in the history of motorsport.

Between 1962 and 1964 only 39 examples of this masterpiece were created, which then as now stands for the highest level of engineering and unsurpassed style. The majority of the vehicles, 36 in number, were equipped with a powerful 3,000cc engine (250 GTO), while three examples were built with a 4,000cc engine (330 GTO).

The vehicle presented here embodies the unmistakable spirit and elegance of the legendary GTO. Restored with the greatest attention to detail, it conveys the authentic driving experience of a classic Ferrari and the inimitable charm of Italian sports car art. It carries the typical look and dynamics that have made Ferrari an icon.

After a long and eventful racing history, this GTO found its way back to Maranello in 1984, where it was completely restored by hand using original parts following a racing accident.

The restoration was led by Mario Allegretti, a master of his craft. Allegretti, considered a key figure in the history of the GTO, dedicated three years to the perfect restoration of this exceptional vehicle.

The racing history of this GTO is impressive: Equipped with an official FIA car passport, it took part in countless national and international races and achieved numerous successes. Of particular note is a class win at the Targa Florio in 1990, as well as top placings at the FIA European Rally Championship and other important circuit races. Victories and placings on legendary tracks such as Spa, Hockenheim, Zandvoort and Mugello prove his excellent performance.

After a careful restoration in 2000, this vehicle is now in perfect condition. It is not only a technical masterpiece, but also a piece of motorsport history that makes the hearts of automobile enthusiasts beat faster.

As part of an exclusive collection, the car will be made available to a wider audience for the first time.
